Over the weekend, I made a couple of birthday cards - one at the request of a co-worker and one to give to my French teaching partner who celebrated her birthday yesterday. I came across this colour combo from the Color Throwdown challenge and I really like how nicely they come together. I also used my brand new EK Daisy Scallop Edger Punch which I received courtesy of DeSerres. I used an underlying layer beneath the border in a solid colour to make the border pop as well as a strip of pattern paper on the inside of the card. I then added some ribbon, Recollections floral embellishments, and an adhesive gem from the dollar store. The sentiment is a stamp I found at the dollar star as well.
