CPS 152 and Color Throwdown 77 - Sympathy Card

Here is the card I made for a co-worker who is returning to work tomorrow after taking some time off to mourn the loss of her brother. He was the 139th Canadian soldier to die in Afghanistan. His name was Sergeant John Wayne Faught. He was 44 years old.

For the sketch, I turned to CPS and for the colour combo, I went to Color Throwdown for my inspiration. I used my D'vine Swirls embossing folder, rubbed it with ink. I also inked the edges of the flowers and added some dollar store bling. My colleague is into scrapbooking so I hope she likes the card. Sorry for the short post but I have a million and one things to do before going to bed. I miss hopping around all your craft blogs. I have so much catching up to this March Break!
